The Mainely Trusses Team
These are the people that help make Mainely Trusses the company it is. Their hard work and dedication has helped transform Mainely Trusses from a small
local supplier one of New Englands largest and most well respected truss manufacturers.
Mike Boulet - President/Owner
Mike has been around wood and manufacturing since his early childhood in Quebec. After graduating from Bryant University in 1992 with a Bachelor of
Business Administration, he began his current career with Mainely Trusses. In 1993, Mike took over the helm of the company and has been instrumental in
developing Mainely Trusses as a leader in truss systems. As the owner and president of Mainely Trusses, he is responsible for various management and
administrative functions. During his free time Mike can be caught doing any of the following: coaching or playing hockey, nearly any type of
waterskiing (barefoot, slalom, trick and wakeboard), woodworking or traveling to some random destination in the world. He resides in Fairfield with
his wife, Jody, their 3 children and Levi the dog.
Dave Viens - Head Designer
Dave Viens began his career as a draftsman for local architects. His fifteen years drafting experience and subsequent tenure at a local retail lumber
company set the ground work for his sales and design position at Mainely Trusses. With over 10 years experience in truss design, Dave has the necessary
skills and experience to complete the most complex projects. Currently Dave is the head designer. He is responsible for the work of the design staff,
including distribution and review of projects. Being an avid NASCAR fan has helped him in dealing with projects that seem to just go round and round.
Although on Mondays he has to take a route to work that only has left turns. He lives with his wife Kris and their son Michael in scenic Belgrade Lakes, ME.
Dave Arbour - Senior Designer
Through the years David has never been one to shy away from a challenge. He taught himself how to play chess at the early age of 8, learned tennis at 15
and made the varsity team just a year later and most recently taught himself how to use a computer at the age of 43. David’s experience, skill and
determination has helped him become one of the most creative truss designers at Mainely Trusses. With the company for nine years now, he has helped
Mainely Trusses grow from a small local truss supplier to a respected industry leader within Northern New England. In his spare time he has focused
his energy to mastering the sport, some would say art, of fly-fishing. So when he comes in to work on Mondays and announces he was in the middle of a
wonderful hatch, we know he's not talking about chickens.
Ralph Littlefield - Senior Designer
Ralph Littlefield has been with Mainely trusses since 2002 and in the truss industry since 1992. Over the years he has worked in various construction related
positions from laborer on residential projects to inspector on a nuclear power plant. His duties at Mainely Trusses involve the design of residential and
commercial truss systems. More than 15 years of truss design experience allow Ralph to complete the most complex projects accurately and efficiently. He
enjoys fishing and is involved in his church in his spare time. It is reported (but not confirmed) that he believes a bad day fishing beats a good day at work.
Russell Bishop - Designer
Russell Bishop is the newest member of the design team at Mainely Trusses. After earning his B.A. in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of
Massachusetts he provided designs for a lumber company near Gillette Stadium - pretty handy for him since he was and still is a big Patriots fan. He spent 10
years working in the field building houses and obtained his general contractor’s license. His love of the outdoors led him to Maine where he enjoys hiking with
his German Shepherd and fishing. Russell considers it a good day of fishing when the number of fish he’s caught exceeds the number of lures he’s lost. An avid
music fan, he listens to a variety of music but he especially enjoys the blues, and is the “go to guy” for Frank Zappa Bootlegs.
Justin Harkins - Designer
Justin is one of the more recent additions to the sales and design team. Having worked as a carpenter for seven years in both Maine and Florida gives him a
spectrum of skills that makes him a valuable asset to the Mainely Trusses team. Outside of work Justin enjoys spending his time camping with fiancée Kelly
and their two children, Cooper and Audrey. During the winter months he and Kelly can sometimes be found in the mountains enjoying Maine’s downhill skiing.
Judy Rancourt - Head Bookkeeper
After many years of bookkeeping experience, Judy joined the staff of Mainely Trusses in 2007 as the head bookkeeper. By day, she is a serious number
cruncher. Nights and weekends, she’s a big kid that loves to play. During the summer you can find Judy water skiing, knee boarding or wake boarding. When
the water is frozen, Judy keeps active cross country skiing and skate skiing. All year, Judy can be seen riding a bicycle. She’s not too picky with
the vehicle to be pedaled; having been spotted on a single, tandem, road, mountain or ice bike (we’re still looking for the cyclo photo). Family comes
first, and she can almost always be found with her husband and son, who enjoy the same activities. When not working, skiing or biking, Judy has been
known to cook, clean, garden, mow the lawn, crochet and love a daily Sudoku challenge.
Missy Boissonneault - Assistant Bookkeeper
Missy has lived in Central Maine her entire life. After graduating from Lawrence High School she attended and graduated from Central Beauty School. Finally,
in 2003 Missy’s career path landed her at Mainely Trusses. As the assistant bookkeeper, she is responsible for various accounting tasks necessary to help the
business run smoothly. When not working Missy takes pleasure in camping, hunting and spending time with her greatest treasure, family. Any available spare
time and energy is focused on the construction and completion of her home.
Karl Livollen - Shop Manager
Karl’s truss career started in 1975 at a truss manufacturer in New York State. Wanting to escape the “rat race” he decided to move to Maine in 1979. Finding
employment with a fledging truss company in Maine, Karl served as the shop foreman until 1990 when the company closed its operation. In early 1991 he helped
John Boulet start a new company, Mainely Trusses. Karl’s years of experience in the industry were instrumental in helping the young company get off
the ground. Today, Karl is fully responsible for all matters related to the manufacturing of the finest quality trusses found in the Northeast. His years of
experience help Mainely Trusses produce a truss that is superior in quality and workmanship. During his free time he can be found fishing, hunting and
sometimes even working!
Kevin Wood - Shipping Manager
Kevin began working for Mainely Trusses in 1993. Through the years he has held numerous positions, including: fabricator, sawyer, forklift operator and jig
leader. His wide variety of experience through the years laid the perfect foundation for the position of shipping manager that he now holds. Today, Kevin
is fully responsible for all aspects related to the safe and timely delivery of your projects. He currently resides in Vassalboro with his wife Andrea and
their 2 children. When not raising his Alpacas he enjoys spending time with friends and family, Kevin is also an avid motor sports fan, enjoys motorcycling,
snowmobiling, and playing guitar.
Rick Dube - Outside Support/Sales
Rick Dube has been swinging a hammer for nearly as long as he can remember. Who would have guessed that helping his grandfather build things would be the
intro to a career? Transitioning from occasional home projects to actual construction, Rick worked for a local contractor throughout high school and college. After
graduating from the University of Hartford with a degree in Architectural Engineering Rick moved back home to Pittston. He went to work at Bath Iron Works in
their Structural Design department. After four years of steel design work, the opportunity came to get back into the building construction industry. Having
missed working with wood, coupled with the opportunity to use his education as it was intended, Rick joined the Mainely Trusses design team in February 2002. From
in-house design he has transitioned to outside support. In this position he can use his design and building experience, as well as the liaison training he received
at BIW to interact directly with our customers in the field.
Levi - Mascot
Levi is the official company canine. To the untrained observer it would be easy to think that his sole purpose at the office is to sleep, greet visitors and fetch
the tennis ball. Most importantly, Levi helps create a calm and friendly atmosphere in the office. When not “working” he enjoys swimming, boating, fetching and sleeping.
